Motto VISIONS OF THE EAST!
Frankreichs größtes Open Air Fotofestival findet jedes Jahr von Juni bis September in La Gacilly in der Bretagne statt. Hunderte großformatige Fotografien werden in den Gärten und an den Häuserfassaden des idyllischen 2.000-Einwohner-Dorfes ausgestellt. Ethik und Nachhaltigkeit, Mensch und Natur stehen im Mittelpunkt des Festivals. Dabei vermischen sich Kunst und Fotojournalismus.
Die sommerliche Freiluft-Kunstgalerie lockt jedes Jahr mehr als 300.000 Besucher an. Der Eintritt ist frei. Im jeweils folgenden Jahr ist die Ausstellung in Baden bei Wien zu sehen.

The 19th edition of La Gacilly Photo Festival “VISIONS OF THE EAST”
Founded in 2004, the La Gacilly Photo Festival invites you on an immersive photographic experience as you stroll around 20 or so open-air galleries presenting the very best in contemporary photographic creation that questions our relationship with our world and our natural environment.
Photographs adorn the streets, gardens and alleys of La Gacilly, whose outstanding built and natural heritage provides a perfect backdrop to the thousand or so images on display. Public space becomes a stage, shared and open to all, free of charge. In the YouTube video you can see my complete tour with the most pictures. Have fun 😀.

Impressionen vom Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo 2021: Das Festival geht in sein viertes Jahr und erstreckt durch die Badener Altstadt sowie durch die Parks. Es ist das größte Outdoor-Fotofestival Europas, das 2020 von 306.024 Besuchern gesehen wurde. Das Festival dauerte vom 18. Juni bis zum 17. Oktober 2021. Der Eintritt ist frei. Heute lernen wir mit Wolfgang Zurborn zu sehen was man sieht und nicht zu sehen, was man sich denkt. Fotografien haben ihren ganz eigenen Sound, ihre ganz eigene Grammatik. Heute schauen wir ihm über die Schulter, wie er ein intensives Gespür für einen Zusammenklang der Bilder entwickelt.
